Orivanta Pay
Payment aggregation for African businesses.
Accepting money in most African markets means integrating each method separately. Every provider has its own interface, its own settlement behaviour, and its own failure modes, and a business that wants to accept more than one ends up maintaining several integrations that share nothing but a bank account.
Orivanta Pay is an aggregation layer over that fragmentation: one integration for a business, several methods behind it, and a single view of what was collected and when it settles.
It is running as a pilot with a limited set of merchants. We are deliberately keeping that set small while the settlement and reconciliation behaviour is proven under real traffic rather than under test conditions.
The parts that make it work.
- 01A single API for collection across multiple payment methods.
- 02Settlement and reconciliation reporting, so the money received can be matched to what was owed.
- 03Retry and failure handling built around rails that are intermittently available, because they are.
- 04Merchant tooling for tracking transactions without reading raw logs.
Where it goes next.
Stated as intent, not as capability. Everything below is work we have decided to do, not work that is finished.
- 01Broader method and market coverage, added one at a time and only once each is reliable.
- 02Operating as a payment service provider in its own right, rather than aggregating over others.
- 03Direct integration work with operators and financial institutions where aggregation alone is not enough.
Regulatory notePayment services are regulated activity. Orivanta Pay operates within the authorisations it currently holds, and the scope described above expands only as further authorisation is granted.
